I’m so grateful for the supportive community I live in and how rich in culture it truly is. From art studios, music studios, a pretty incredible neighborhood society and more, I am always jumping for the chance to support the local events and fundraisers that make our community what it is.
Join us and the wonderful staff at Staccato Music Studios for the 4th annual Music Share fundraiser on February 8 at the Confederation Community Centre. This fundraiser directly benefits not only our community through partnerships with Burnaby Family Life but also the music therapy program at BC Children’s hospital; the music therapy program runs solely on donations and thanks to everyone’s support last year a $1500 donation was made to the department, let’s help them beat that amount this year!
Burnaby Family Life brings much needed social services to families in need in our community, including counselling, parenting resources, pregnancy, English language skills, childhood literacy and life skill classes.
Sounds pretty awesome doesn’t it? Not only do you get to help some amazing causes in your community but you’ll also get to enjoy some live music by the Taxmen Beatles Tribute Band, enjoy some refreshments, a silent auction and a 4 cats community art activity and more.
Tickets are $10, children 12 and under are free with a paying adult ticket. Grab the kids and come show your support for music in your community!
Music Share is a non-profit society dedicated to providing music education and music therapy programs in our community. Our goal is to make music programming more accessible to children, youth, and families.
