If you have a tween girl, or remember that phase, you’ll remember how painful that period of their lives is. Many young girls are already unhappy with their bodies, especially as they change. Some deal with bullying, and mean girls or low self esteem, and many are unsure how to ‘fit in’. All of them, all of our girls, need to find their inner awesome somehow. Every one of our children can use a boost in confidence. And exercise, something many of our kids do not get enough of, not only contributes to a healthy body, but a healthy mind as well. Sole Girls is an Empowerment Program aimed at girls aged 8-12, which is a crucial time in a girl’s development. They will not only discuss body image, meet mentors who will guide them, and make new friends, but there are games, dance parties AND they train mentally and physically to run a 5K fun run. You better believe these girls are darn proud of themselves after completing the 5K!
The Fall semester is starting this week, and there are still spaces available at all locations!

Better yet, register and join us!
I have my own preteen, and I know how amazing and scary is can be all at once. Navigating friends, homework, school, a social life, activities, mean girls, playground bullies, media influence and fashion trends, finding yourself and the confidence to be yourself can be overwhelming sometimes, and more positive support during this time is always welcome. Amy is very excited to be joining Sole Girls this semester, and we’d love for you to follow her journey here on the blog where she will share what she’s learned, and her journey towards her goals.
