LEGO fans unite – there is nothing more wonderful than two of my fave things – and when you combine LEGO + Star Wars you pretty much have the holy duo of every kids wishlist around the holidays. As big Star Wars fans in our house, you can guess this is not only on my kids wishlist, but also the hubbys!
Taking place between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, these new adventures follow a family of scavengers who build and sell starships from battle debris strewn throughout the galaxy. When their youngest discovers a natural connection with the Force through an ancient artifact – the Kyber Saber –he and his family are thrown into an epic struggle against the Empire to restore peace and freedom to the galaxy. LEGO Star Wars is one of Alivia’s fave shows to watch on Netflix, so when we heard the Freemaker Adventures season one would be available on Blu-Ray, we were definitely excited! Just in time for the holidays, you can slip some Jedi magic under the tree.
Whether you have a major Star Wars (either vintage, or current!) fan at home, a budding master builder or just a kid who loves some action shows, Lego Star Wars is where it’s at! While some younger fans may need a little bit of back-story to understand some of the key elements, there is plenty of story-line and action to keep them interested without it. We can’t wait to check this one out and we’re super excited to be able to share this soon to be released Blu-Ray with one of our fans.
