This time last year we were just discovering our love for Bobs & Lolo, Alivia introduced me to the catchiness of Cindy Seahorse and I was won over pretty much instantly. It’s pretty rare that you come across kids songs that after the 1000th time listening to it in the car it doesn’t make you want to “lose” the CD on the highway.
Robyn Hardy and Lorraine Pond are local West Coast creative mommas behind the children’s music duo Bobs & Lolo, we’ve had the pleasure of seeing these ladies live and there’s something to be said for songs that get every single kid in the room up on their feet, wiggling and singing along. This fabulously peppy duo hold can  be found at many local childrens festivals and events – nothing makes a little smile more than dancing around with Bobs & Lolo!Â
When I heard that the creative mommas that make up the Bobs & Lolo duo were working on their new album Dirty Feet it was an exciting time, we had so enjoyed their Christmas album and were looking forward to something to last us through the spring and summer.
And we weren’t disappointed! Dirty Feet is the perfect mix of silly and personal, with lyrics that are both catchy and easy to remember it’s pretty much the most adorable thing ever to hear your little one jumping around the house singing Run Salmon Run (or in our case, Run Santa Run…).
Bobs & Lolo are so passionate about uplifting children through music – teaching them not only about the environment around them through Run Salmon Run, but also the importance of acceptance and friendship through Hoot & Hop (my personal fave!) and encouraging self love through Being Me. I love, love hearing Alivia sing at the top of her little lungs that “I want to be the greatest me that I can be”.
If you haven’t grabbed Dirty Feet yet, it’s available for purchase at BobsandLolo.com, iTunes, HMV Canada, Amazon, or stream it on Spotify! Don’t forget to check out their other albums as well – Wave your Antlers is the perfect CD for the holidays!
