My Little Pony has always been one of my favourite toys from my childhood, and wow have they ever come a long way! A has started educating me on the new (and improved according to her!) ponies and is a huge fan of the Equestria Girls, a fun adaption where the MLP girls are human and attending school. We’ve been following along with the Equestria Girls story from the The Equestria Girls: Friendship Games storyline and we have to say, Camp Everfree picks things up nicely, A’s favourite character is Twilight Sparkle so it’s nice to see her have a bit of a focal point as she faces her fears about Midnight Sparkle lurking beneath, though Sunset Shimmer definitely takes the leading role in this new flick.
Fresh air – check. Starlit nights – check. Scary stories – freaky deaky! The Equestria Girls are leaving the halls of Canterlot High School for a field trip to Camp Everfree. However, they get more than canoeing and camp fires when magic begins to wreak havoc on the camp. They’re surprised to find a magical force is causing strange things to happen, and the girls seem to be developing new powers. The Equestria Girls will have to work together to control the magic or it will destroy their beloved camp!
If you have a My Little Pony fan at home, this is the perfect chance to expand their library with some outdoor fun and go on a camping adventure with the girls! If you have a little one who loves to be a bit spooked and loves camping this is the perfect movie to curl up with, with rumored forest spirit Gaea Everfree lurking in the forest, will the girls be able to overcome the unique challenges Camp Everfree throws at them? You’ll have to watch and see!
