It’s kind of my favourite time of year right now – bring on the rain boots, sweaters and scarves! One of our must-do’s during the fall is spending as much time visiting our local pumpkin patches and it’s easy to see why – with activities for all ages it’s always a wonderful way to spend the day as a family, and leave with something fun to do!
We’ve rounded up some of our local pumpkin patches for you – and we’d love to hear which ones you love best, and what keeps you going back each year.

Abbotsford
Willow View Farms
Where: 288 McCallum Road, Abbotsford
When: Fall hours | Monday – Saturday 9:00am-5:30pm & Sundays 11:00am-5:30pm
Cost: Free admission to the farm, $3.50/per person for hayrides
Activities: Picnic and playground area, hayrides (weekends only for the public), pumpkin patch and concession. Make sure to visit the temporary country store and the u-pick fields.
Mann Farms
Where: 790 McKenzie Road, Maple Ridge
When: Everyday 9:00am-6:00pm

Taves Family Farm (Apple Barn) (Make sure to read our review!)

Activities: There is a plethora of activities to enjoy at the Applebarn! From the corn maze, pedal karts, bunny town, ziplines, jumping and pumpkin pillows, tractor trail, petting zoo, farmville, apple cider press demonstrations, u-pick and much more. We can easily spend all day at the Applebarn wandering between around.
Chilliwack
Petey’s Pumpkin Patch

Activities: Over 5000 square feet of indoor activities including, fun maze, family fun zone, bounce rides and more. Pumpkins range in price from $2.00-$25.00
Chilliwack Corn Maze Pumpkin Patch
Where: 41905 Yale Rd, Chilliwack, BC
When: September 7 – October 31, 2017 | Thursdays 6:oopm-9:oopm, Friday & Saturday 11:00am-9:00pm and Sunday & Holidays 11:00am-6:00pm
Cost: $11.00 + tax at the maze (cash and debit only) | Grab tickets online to save | children 2 and under free
Activities: Admission includes corn maze, hay bale maze, animal displays, pedal carts, corn sandbox, kiddy play area, giant jumping pillow, spiders web and picnic area. For $5 grab a fire pit kit and pack some s’mores for the perfect fall night.
Delta
Westham Island Herb Farm

Activities: Enjoy a display of 100-150 hand carved pumpkins lit up, a “haunted” converted quonset hot house that is ideal to get the little ones into the spooky spirit of the late harvest season.
Vandula Farms

Laity Pumpkin Patch – now 2 locations!

Activities: Laity’s original location (North) offers tons of interactive fun for littles including the Farmer Play Centre, Hay Wagon Ride, Corn Maze, Farm Animals, Obstacle Course, Panning for Gold and much more. The new South location includes activities to keep the older kids having fun including farm animals, obstacle course, right turn only maze, family games area, race and corn maze, tractor rides and more. Each location has a u-pick pumpkin patch.
North Vancouver
Loutet Farm Pumpkin Patch

Activities: Pick a pumpkin from the patch, press some delicious apples and enjoy the community market. All proceeds to support the Edible Garden Project’s programs.
Richmond
Richmond Country Farms

Activities: Ticket prices include professional entertainment including live entertainers Polly Pumpkin, Strawberry Shortcake and Korny Corn, a live band playing some encouraging pumpkin picking music, a wagon ride, a child sized pumpkin with a carry bag, live animals and a Spartan apple.
Surrey
Hazelmere Pumpkin Patch

Activities: Get ready to settle into a full day at the Port Kells Nursery! Enjoy tractor pulled hay rides, indoor and outdoor mazes, outdoor play centre, the goat house, face painting, haunted house pumpkin displays and much more!
Rondriso Farms
Where: 8390 172nd Street, Surrey
When: October 3-31st, 2017 | Hours: Monday – Friday 3:00pm-6:00pm & Weekends 10:00am-6:00pm
Cost: Free admission to the farm. $3 wagon rides out to the patch, but they are included with a pumpkin purchase from the field.
Activities: Enjoy a hay ride out to the fields and find your perfect pumpkin, families are encouraged to visit the cows & chickens and see them up close.
Vancouver
Southlands Farm
Where: 6767 Balaclava Street, Vancouver
When: October 1-31st, 2017 | Hours: Monday – Friday 9:00am-6:00pm & Weekends 10:00am-5:00pm
Cost: Admission by donation, all pumpkins are $5.’
Activities: Explore the farm and on a self-guided tour and pick your perfect pumpkin. Meet the goats, sheep, chickens, chicks, and horses. Pick a pumpkin from our Old Apple Orchard and sit by the fire.
I haven’t carved any pumpkins in awhile, I can’t wait till the grandkids are old enough to have fun carving pumpkins!!
