Roaring engines, high-octane racing, and crazy gravity defying stunts and sweet rides basically describes my son’s ideal day; and my husbands, let’s be real. It should come as no surprise then that they love watching monster truck action on tv. Or that my seven year old has quite a monster truck collection. And when Monster Jam comes to town? You better believe they’re there taking in all of the action-packed, four-wheeled excitement live and in person. It’s become an annual tradition they both look forward to every year, and it’s just about that time again!
Monster Jam, the unexpected, unscripted, unforgettable, and totally family friendly action-packed motorsport is tearing into Vancouver March 8-10 in the Pacific Coliseum at the PNE with what’s sure to be an amazing show with a great line up. Expect to see Monster Jam super-truck icon Grave Digger, my son’s favourite, Zombie, World Finals Champion and Canada’s own Northern Nightmare and more, joined by TWO Vancouver debut truck appearances, EarthShaker and Jekyll & Hyde.
Monster Jam drivers are trained, world-class male and female athletes who have mastered, not only the physical strength and mental stamina needed to compete, but the vital dexterity to control 12,000-pound machines capable of doing backflips, vertical two-wheel skills and racing at speeds up to 70 miles per hour to produce jaw-dropping, live motor sports action seen around the world.
New at all Monster Jam events, fans will have the chance to vote for the winner in the two-wheel and freestyle competitions by real-time, in-stadium voting on their smartphones. How cool is that?
