Guys, I don’t know if you realize but there is only 2 more Fridays and then suddenly it’s CHRISTMAS. How did this happen!? I could have sworn we were just out trick or treating.. but nope, somehow Christmas snuck right up on me and I am in full panic mode. Panicked mostly because I still have so much shopping to do and such a small amount of time to do it – meaning.. little monkey up there ends up coming with me when I’m shopping for everyone else and well, 4 year olds have an expiration time at the mall. They need a recharge, just like us!
Well, rest assured that the RBC Visa Avion Holiday Boutique knows how badly we all need a break during the holiday hustle and bustle, especially at the mall! We had the pleasure of visiting the Avion Boutique last year, and I distinctly remember telling hubby when we left that he absolutely had to get one of those cards, because I wanted to come back again this year! Lucky for us, he took my “advice” (see: incessant poking) and signed up, now we’re “Avioners” and can visit the Avion Boutique anytime we like!
Let’s be serious, the very last thing I want to do when I get to the mall is carry around a family of coats, a backpack of “just in cases” for a kid, and eventually all the wonderful shopping I’m inevitably going to end up doing while I’m there. Lucky for me.. the Avion Boutique knows my struggle and offers an amazing COAT & PARCEL CHECK. Yep, as soon as you get to the mall, drop them off and away you go! Have a stroller you don’t want to bring, a carseat? They have plenty of room to check them while you get your shop on.
On this particular day, we planned our visit to coincide with our photos with the man in the red suit. Alivia stood in line patiently for nearly an hour to tell Santa her one wish and we figured that she deserved a treat, we headed upstairs to the Avion Boutique to check out the new set up at Metropolis at Metrotown.
Alivia remembered visiting last year and bee-lined it right for the assortment of Children’s books and picked out a favourite to read with her dad while I wandered around taking photos. Once she was all finished, she exclaimed she was thirsty and “needed” a hot chocolate. Lucky for us, the Cafe was fully stocked with delicious drinks and snacks, we enjoyed a coffee while the wonderful Avion Boutique staff made Alivia a hot chocolate complete with whipped cream and marshmallows! She was also thrilled she was able to have a gingerbread cookie with her hot chocolate.
While the family was enjoying their drinks I went over to check out the gift wrapping services, I had a couple of items I needed discreetly wrapped and the Elfs were so helpful in showing me how to sign in my presents. I was able to choose what sort of wrapping paper I would like, and include a note for the outside of the package so that I can remember who it’s for and what was in it. Dropping everything off took all of about 3 minutes, and I was given a time to come back and pick up my wrapped goodies! In store RBC Avion Holiday boutique experiences are available from November 27, 2015 until December 31, 2015, in Burnaby at Metropolis at Metrotown and in Toronto at Yorkdale Shopping Centre, during mall hours. Cart experiences are available from November 27 – December 24 in Halifax, NS at Halifax Shopping Centre and in Ottawa, ON at the St. Laurent Centre during mall hours.
The RBC Avion Holiday Boutique is for Avion cardholders only but at Yorkdale Shopping Centre in Toronto, ON, the public can enjoy gift wrapping services for a nominal fee (to be donated to charity).
